To be
eligible for the Nigerian Army Regular Recruit 2025, applicants must meet the
following requirements:
1. Must be single
and a Nigerian citizen by birth.
2. Must
possess a National Identity Number (NIN) and BVN printout.
3. Have a
minimum of four (4) passes, including English Language, in not more than two
sittings in WASSCE, GCE, NECO, NABTEB, or NBAIS.
4. Tradesmen/Women
applicants must have a Trade Test / City & Guild Certificate or an
equivalent qualification (details available on the official website).
5. Must be medically,
physically, and mentally fit according to the Nigerian Army’s standards.
6. Must have no
criminal record or conviction by any court of law.
7. Must have
a birth certificate issued by a recognized authority (National Population
Commission, hospital, or local government).
8. Must have
a certificate of state of origin signed by a local government official.
9. Height Requirements:
Minimum of 1.68 meters for males
Minimum of 1.65 meters for females
10. Age
Requirements:
18–22 years for Non-Tradesmen/Women
18–26
years for Tradesmen/Women (as of December 30, 2025)
All applicants are expected to take note of the following:
1. There will be no Computer-Based Test (CBT) and no zonal screening exercise.
2. Screening will take place only in your state of origin no special recruitment centers.
3. Electronic gadgets and recording devices are strictly not allowed at the screening venue.
4. Tattoos, body piercings, and body inscriptions (except tribal marks) are prohibited.
5. Female applicants should not have multiple ear piercings.
6. All candidates must come with original copies of their educational certificates from primary to secondary level.
7. Applicants must not be members of any cult, fraternity, or secret society.
8. Submitting fake or forged documents will result in automatic disqualification.
9. Recruitment into the Nigerian Army is completely free do not pay anyone.
11. Candidates must bring their NIN slip and BVN printout for verification.
